For those in the dark, I started this segment where I feature local designers on the blog in support of the local fashion industry.

The first feature went up last week and I must say, the support was amazing. I appreciate.

I still have designers who’ve emailed to be featured so stay with us for more of this. If you didn’t read last week’s feature, check it out here.

In our second feature of ‘Designer of The Week,’ the spotlight is on none other than Shiyenze Fashions.

                                                                        Roselyne Shiyenze

Shiyenze Fashion is an online fashion boutique founded by Roselyne Shiyenze mid last year. Shiyenze is a Luhya Word meaning adorable, loved and attractive to people. It houses various brands, including Shiyenze, mainly dealing with clothing and accessories. The brand boasts of having something for everyone seeing that their designs range from kids wear, mens wear and womens wear.

Roselyne says they aim at ensuring one looks adorable and loved through their well thought out creative and expressive designs. I love how she plays around with her Luhya heritage when it comes to conceptualisation and naming of the various designs she puts out like calling a dress Mkhana, Mrembo, etc.

Less banter, more pics:

Remember to be featured all you have to do is drop me an email at fitndiscover@gmail.com and we will proceed from there. Tag as many designer friends you may know and encourage them to be part of this movement.

Till next time, keep it #TeamFnD.
