In support of the Kenyan fashion industry, I decided to introduce a segment on the blog titled, ‘Designer of The Week’  hence #DOTW under the Designers Hub category. I believe there’s so much untapped and unknown talent out there and I will make it my duty to search them out and share them with you. This will be a regular feature on the blog so saddle up your horses and enjoy the ride.

To start us off is Ashok Sunny of Ashok Creations.

                                                                      Ashok Sunny

The urban gentleman has progressively evolved in his fashion sense and no longer are we subjected to the regular T-Shirt and jeans affair or plain neutral coloured suits that we were used to. This modern gentleman is giving ladies a run for their money and also wants to stand out when stepping out just as their female counterparts.

It is with this in mind that Ashok Creations was born.

Ashok Creations caters for the classic GQ kinda’ man who has no fear of experimenting and going out of the norm when it comes to dressing. Masters of bespoke suits infused with playful colours and creative designs, Ashok Creations has made sure that the urban gentleman is catered for and can no longer complain about what to wear. Whether you are in a conservative work environment or you are a conservative dresser, to bold and edgy dressers, Ashok Creations is what the doctor prescribed and then some.

I had a brief meeting with the founder and was impressed by his sense of style and how he embodies his work even in his daily wear. The suits are made to measure with well cut designs and perfect finishing. As if that is not enough, his prices are quite the steal and he is such a warm guy.

To have an idea of what I’m talking about, here are a few photos of some of his work.

Check out his page to see more of his work which include ladies wear too.

To make an order or inquiry, contact Ashok via email here or through his cell +254 705 706 433.

I would love to hear your feedback on this new segment and what you think of this week’s designer.

Awesome idea! I’ve been thinking of doing the same for Ghana but felt it might be conflicting since my blog is a personal style one.
Love how he uses colour in his designs, btw. Lotsa personality, me likely!

    • FitnDiscover · July 20, 2015

You can still do it Cara! Remember it’s just a segment on your blog. It won’t take away from the core reason at all.
