GIRLY GIRL: Skate Me Away!

Finally here.

Happy End Month faithfuls! 🙂

What better way to kick-start the month than to show you snippets of my collaboration with Miss Kerre Fashions.

I got to wear a couple of their stuff just to show you what they have in stock and to give you an idea of how they would look on you, in short, I was their human mannequin.

To start us off, we have this pretty cute skater dress.

Here’s to spending that hard-earned cash :).

The skater dress is one trend that will forever stay in our wardrobes. Its origin goes way back from the 80’s and it originated from the dresses figure skaters used to wear. It’s A-line asymmetrical cut-out makes it one of the most forgiving outfits for all body types. All you need to do is pay attention to the waistline, if it fits nicely, you’ve got yourself a winner.

Only problem is that skater dresses mostly come in short lengths and therefore if you are one to shy away from such, you may have to come with creative ways of wearing it, say as a tunic. Personally, I face this challenge a lot since I’m 5’8 and therefore getting one that isn’t too short is such a herculean task. I was therefore glad when I tried on this one and it wasn’t as short as the others I’ve been getting.

You can also accessorize with a belt to emphasise on the waist and give it a pop of colour. This is a wardrobe must have for any woman and I love how it brings out the girly you in it.

You can also get an alternative skater dress and  heels here, here and here.

What’s your take on this trend and how do you style your skater outfits?

I would love to read your thoughts.

Till next time, stay cute.
