FACE SHAPES: Wearing The Right Glasses!

Good morning folks!

Hoping the Monday blues aren’t that heavy and that your weekend was swell.

Today I want to take you in a totally different direction. It’s not clothes related per se but it plays a big part to your general outlook – Finding the perfect glasses for your face shape.

As someone who wears glasses, I can tell you that the struggle to get a frame that suits your face is real. Sometimes it’s cause’ you don’t know what works for you and other times because a different frame just looks cool. So to avoid the risk of stepping out at the optician’s or your preferred eyewear dealer looking like a cartoon character, let me school you on just what works for what.

A heart shaped face is defined by a broader forehead and a narrower jawline and chin.

An oval face is defined by balanced features and a chin slightly narrower than the forehead.

A square face is defined by strong, well defined angles in the forehead, jawline and cheek area.

A round face is characterised by a soft, circular shape where the width and length are almost equal, etc.

So with this in mind, just how do you know the perfect glasses for you?

Here’s a pictorial illustration to help you with that.

Picture1There you go. I hope that has been of help.

Do share the challenges you’ve faced with your glasses if any and if at one time you were a victim of eye-wear faux pas if I may call it so.

Till next time, keep it ……….(insert your shape size). 🙂
