FitnDiscover: What’s in a Dress?

Happy Monday Winions! 🙂

Hoping your week has started off on a lighter note.

To matters fashion, I start off with a quote by one of the most renowned fashion designers that answers the question, “What’s in a dress?”

“Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it.”
—Yves Saint Laurent

From YSL’s viewpoint, the dress doesn’t matter as much as the woman. It is the woman who makes the dress. What story do you tell with your outfit? How do you want to be perceived in that outfit? Are you  merely out to make a fashion statement or do you seek to achieve more than the passive glances thrown at you? Are you out for respect and honour or being sensual will be enough for you? Mark you, I’m all about  femininity, but are we over-rating feminism?
Food for thought.
ION: Men have suits, and we have, oh well, we have dresses.
I have this gorgeous dress perfect for an office setting or for that power business meeting where you don’t want to wear a suit but still want to look chic and professional enough. I fell in love with its color and just how easy it is to dress it. Accessorize well and you are good to go.
Here goes:
What’s your take on the topic and my OOTP (Outfit of The Post)?

Dear Winnie, love the quote from YSL and your dress but your body language contradicted what you said about the dress being perfect for an important meeting etc.. your body language looked as if you were flirting, not sure whether you wanted to own that dress and generally unsure about being in front of the camera. Relax and next time you are in front of the camera come from a more secure place, your blog was great and you are very attractive, show that part of you that knows what you are doing. All my best wishes,

Hello Olivia! Thank you for the observation. I’ll take a look at the photos again and see what needs to be rectified. I was more of having fun with the dress than being flirtatious. I appreciate though, keep the comments coming.
